Google Continues to Improve Play Store
"The search giant" introduces a new global ranking system applications and manual moderation application, which will help to avoid falling into the shop of poor software. Thus, the company wants to protect its users from scams that steal user data and to protect children from inappropriate content.
"Today, we present a new age rating system for applications and games on Google Play. We know that the people in different countries have different ideas about what content is suitable for children, adolescents and adults. Therefore, our innovation will allow developers to better label their applications to the right audience. " said in a statement Google.
From now on, developers will be able to add an age limit for all its applications. The new system includes ratings of popular international services, such as the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and the Pan European Game Information (PEGI). In regions where these ratings do not work will be displayed overall rating. Google employees will carefully monitor the implementation of the developers of the new requirements, if not strictly observed, they can block the application for an indefinite period.
