(hereinafter referred to STMIK AMIKOM
YOGYAKARTA) is a private university located in the province of
Yogyakarta Sleman district in Yogyakarta AMIKOM under the auspices of
the Foundation.
YOGYAKARTA AMIKOM STMIK is a college of
the development of the Academy of Management Information and
Computers "AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA". AMIKOM Yogyakarta as an
institution of higher education established by decision of the
Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No.
084 / D / O / 1994 on the Granting Status Registered to Department /
Study Program for the Diploma Program at AMIKOM Yogyakarta in
Yogyakarta and under the auspices of the Foundation "AMIKOM
YOGYAKARTA".
AMIKOM Yogyakarta has Studies Program
Information Management and Information Technology. These courses each
managed by a Head of Department and the Secretary of the Department
are supported by the device Faculty, and Staff Administration.
Overall academic institution was headed
by a Director assisted by several Assistant Director, Academic
Executive, Executive Administratatif Elements, Technical
Implementation Unit, Elements of Research and Development and several
other supporting elements.
In 2002, the D-3 program has been in
the Information Management Accreditation by the National
Accreditation Board of Higher Education with BAN SK PT Number: 010 /
BAN-PT / Ak-I / Dpl-III / VIII / 2002 and received accreditation A.
Along with the advancement of
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and also to meet the
needs of experts who understand and are skilled in the field, then
AMIKOM add the S-1, and turn into STIMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA.
Based on the Decree of the Minister of
National Education of the Republic of Indonesia on 24 April 2002,
No.. 75 / D / O / 2002 on the Implementation of Licensing Programs
Study and Establishment of the School of Information Management and
Computers (STMIK) AMIKOM Yogyakarta in Yogyakarta (change the shape
of AMIKOM) organized by the Foundation AMIKOM Yogyakarta in
Yogyakarta.
Under the decree, STMIK AMIKOM

Broadcasting Laboratory, Laboratory for Computer Graphics and
Multimedia, Operating Systems and Networks Laboratory, Laboratory
Programming, Hardware Software Laboratory, Laboratory and Basic
Computer Application, all using a sophisticated system that can
support the talents of all students and the talent can be channeled.
AMIKOM also has a variety of SMEs which include KOMA, manggar, UKI
JHASTIS, MAYAPALA, Onegai, Tamam, AFC, AMCC, BEM, FOSSIL and others
can increase the knowledge of students and each student may share or
share knowledge with each other. Lecture room was comfortable with
the availability of air conditioning and projector, it can make the
students feel comfortable and focus when studying.
